What should I keep with me on my moving day?
We recommend you keep items you and your loved ones use regularly and will need for the day of the move as well as a few days after since you may be tired and wont unpack everything at once. For example, cell phone, charger, necessary medications, toiletries, favorite toys, small electronics, snacks, etc. We also highly recommend that valuables and sentimental items such as important documents, firearms, and jewelry be set aside and placed inside your personal vehicle the day of the move so you can transport those items safely to your new home.
What factors impact the cost of my move?
Considering that most moves are based on time, any factors that cause increased time spent on your move will increase the cost. This includes but is not limited to: distance between moving locations, number of stops, whether there are stairs or elevators, distance between where the truck needs to be parked and the home, size of home, and number of furniture pieces that need to be dismantlement whether to accommodate the size of truck or to fit through the entryways among other things. We highly recommend that you be as forthcoming as possible when it comes to your move so we can bring the appropriate tools and equipment to ultimately save you time, money and most importantly stress.
Pro-tip: Did you know that most complexes will allow you to reserve elevators for your day of move at no cost? Make sure you talk with your building management and reserve an elevator for your move day when possible.
How should I label my boxes?
Label each box with what room it will belong in at your new home. Make sure you write the room on the top and sides to increase visibility. This will reduce confusion and more work later.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash and credit/debit payments. Other forms of payments can be accepted if arranged prior to the day of the move.
